Our members and stakeholders have incredible personal stories about how they came to support PSR’s mission, including:

• The physician who treats the troubling respiratory issues of children living near coal plants.
• The scientist, health care professional or farmer who recognizes the drastic consequences extreme weather has on declining crop yields and potential for starvation on a global scale.
• A young family that is concerned about the toxins in their water supply or house cleaning supplies.

Physicians for Social Responsibility is the largest physician-led organization in the U.S. working to prevent nuclear war and proliferation and to slow, stop and reverse global warming and toxic degradation of the environment.

We work diligently across the country to educate citizens, elected officials and the business community about the importance of these issues. Our goal is to influence public policy so we may all live in a safer, healthier world, both now and for future generations.
