What Did You Think of Last Night's Presidential Debate?
Last night, President Obama and Governor Romney held their final debate on the topic of Foreign Policy and National Security. Early in the debate, Governor Romney responded to a question on the conflict in the Middle East saying, "...but we can't kill our way out of this mess." We found ourselves wondering, what policies do either candidate support that embrace the idea of peace and diplomacy over war? Join us on Facebook and see comments from other PSR members during the debate and add your own thoughts on what issues, important to you, were discussed or ignored.
Medical Students Meet Up in Chicago
Chicago-area student PSR hosted an informational gathering at Pompeii Pizza on Friday, October 19, 2012. Representatives from three local student chapters (Northwestern University, Rosalind Franklin University and University of Illinois-Chicago) were on hand to network and share ideas regarding advocacy and outreach opportunities, as well as connect with PSR members. Informal social events like this are a great way to establish connections among student activists as well as fostering relationships with PSR chapter leaders. To locate an existing chapter or for information about starting up your own student chapter, please contact our national program coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
